We were very busy the last weeks working on an update of SmartAss. And now here it is: SmartAss 0.6.1. The user interface has changed a lot (see Screenshots). There are still three tabs in the main SmartAss app, but a lot more icons and buttons. The user interface features new icons that are easy to remember. Also it is much cleaner now and even more intuitiv than it was before. SmartAss now looks better on high density devices.

 We are very happy to inform you that a new version of SmartAss is available. You can grab it from the Android market.
The new version improves the dialog for adding multiple item: The dialog shows you all the items the speech recognizer has understood and it lets you remove single items from the list of item before you add all the rest in a single step. This is extremly useful when the speech recognizer does not understand everthing you say but some of the words only. In this case you can remove the misunderstood items and add the other ones. This version also removes some bug: The target list selection should now work again. That means it shows you the lists to select from again. There was also a bug in the device synchronization that did not transmit special characters corretly. This is fixed now as well. Merry Christmas :-)

A new SmartAss version 0.5.6 is ready to be installed on your devices. This release features adding multiple items via speech recognition in a single step: When using the speech recognizer, just say stuff like "butter AND milk AND honey" and SmartAss will interpret "AND" as an item delimiter. This will add the items "butter", "milk" and "honey" to your target list in a single step. Speech recognition can now be configured via SmartAss menu option "Settings". The new advanced speech recognition feature can be disabled if you don't like it. It is enabled by default. You can also customize your item delimiter. Furthermore you can select the language the speech recognizer will try to understand. This is helpful, if your device runs a particular language but you want SmartAss to understand a different language. Last but not least SmartAss now gets rid of some annoying lags of the user interface when using the synchronization feature. Now it should run safe and sound again ... |

On the 4. of Dezember 2009 SmartAss was first released on Android market. So today SmartAss is there for 2 years now. Happy anniversary SmartAss! |
